Chilbolton 'Arecibo Reply'
FIELD DESCRIPTION
On August 19, 2001, a formation appeared in a wheat field adjacent to the Chilbolton Radio Telescope in Hampshire, England — directly responding to the famous 1974 Arecibo message broadcast into space by Carl Sagan's team. The original Arecibo message encoded information about humanity: our DNA, the solar system, and human form. This formation, measuring approximately 75 × 55 metres, appeared as a binary-coded rectangular grid and contained striking modifications: a different DNA structure (silicon-based), a different solar system layout (with the third, fourth, and fifth planets highlighted), a different figure (smaller head, larger body), and a different transmitter design. It appeared alongside a separate 'alien face' formation. No one has ever claimed responsibility, and the field's security cameras captured nothing.
What Are Node Anomalies?
In genuine crop formations, the plant stems are bent — not broken — at the nodes (growth joints). This bending is accompanied by elongated nodes and sometimes expulsion cavities — small holes blown through the node wall from the inside, consistent with a rapid, intense heat source.
Node elongation and/or expulsion cavities confirmed by field investigation. Inconsistent with mechanical flattening.
No node anomalies detected. Formation may be man-made or insufficient investigation was conducted.
Node status not recorded or formation was not physically investigated by researchers.
Research by BLT Research Team (W.C. Levengood, Nancy Talbott) documented node elongation in 300+ formations across 30+ countries. The phenomenon requires a brief, intense electromagnetic or microwave energy source — incompatible with boards and rope.
